In order to engage youth with a good understanding of their needs and priorities, GivHOPE has been dealing with children, teens and youths on the street or/and those who can’t dream anymore due to their terrible living conditions:
2 programs in our portfolio: Formal education or vocational training (11-18 years old) and self-employment via income generating activities (19-35 years old).
The month of May has been very prolific in terms of requests for self-employment by the youth. After a serious selection process, 650.000 XAF were handed over to two young men for their micro projects under GivHOPE financing.
Over the past two years, GivHOPE has intensified its work with vulnerable young people on the street or those living in very precarious conditions in the conviction that young people represent a powerful force for change, and that they need to be empowered to actively participate in development work and decision-making.
